The role
This is an important role to ensure that the airport environment is a tidy and attractive place for our customers and employees alike. You will work in a small team and on your own, proactively ensuring that the areas required are kept to standard (both landside & airside). Maintaining this within regulatory, safety, quality and performance standards. As part of the role you will be responsible for the execution of tasks as defined in the daily schedule. Ensure all reactive work is acted upon and completed in line with any service level agreements and customer requirements. Safe operation of machinery, wearing the necessary PPE at all times and ensuring compliance with health and safety, safe working practices and legislation relevant to the External Engineering Unit.
• To effectively deliver a wasteaway service from the Terminal Forecourt, Car Parks, Bus Interchange, Airside satellites and surrounding site areas.
• To transfer waste in a timely and effective manner
• To keep areas of responsibility clean and tidy, free from litter and debris.
• To store all litter collected in the recycling centre.
• To report any graffiti, vandalism or fly tipped rubbish to supervisor/manager.
• To carry out any other tasks that may be required by the supervisor/manager.
What will make you successful in the role?
Do you enjoy being outside in all weathers? To be successful in securing this position at Stansted Airport we will be looking for an individual who is willing to get stuck in, happy to interact and answer questions from our many customers in a warm and friendly way. A high attention to detail is a must and showcasing this through previous employment will help you succeed.
• Professional at all times while representing MAG
• Solid communication skills (additional languages helpful)
• The ability to perform designated tasks accurately and efficiently
• The ability to work independently using your own initiative
• Availability to work regular weekends (4 on 4 off shift)
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Good level of physical fitness (Lots of walking)
• Full UK driving licence holder (Essential)
