Position: Moulding Production Technician - Nights (Onsite)
Location: Belliver Way, Plymouth, PL6 7B
Hours: 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM (3 days on, 3 days off shift pattern)
About the Role:
My client is seeking a Moulding Production Technician to join their dynamic team at their Plymouth site. This role is key to producing plastic components, including Vacutainer Tubes & Caps, using advanced injection moulding machines. The position is ideal for someone with an engineering background, with injection moulding experience considered a plus (but not mandatory for the right candidate). This is a continuous night shift role, offering opportunities to work in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components.
* Troubleshoot machine or process issues using root cause analysis and technical fault finding (Mechanical & Electrical).
* Perform routine planned maintenance (Weekly, Monthly, and Semi-Annual).
* Support the PM Technician with annual maintenance tasks.
* Work safely, adhering to health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Gemba, Kaizen, TIMWOODS).
* Collaborate effectively with Operators, Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Shift Leaders.
* Document production data and maintain records via SAP.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area.
About You:
* Essential: Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
* Desirable: Injection moulding experience (not mandatory).
* Strong fault-finding skills on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
* Ability to follow work instructions and complete routine tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality standards.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer literacy.
