The ideal candidate should have infant feeding experience within a maternity setting, have a basic general education, and currently hold NVQ level 2 qualifications in Health care or the equivalent, have excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral and be committed to undertake relevant qualifications. An education programme and mandatory training will be available for the successful candidate. Main duties of the job As an Infant feeding clinical support worker you would be working primarily on the Maternity ward in a clinical setting. Working alongside the midwifery team, you will be expected to provide evidence based knowledge and information for all aspects of infant feeding and act as a resource and support for mothers and midwifery staff in the initiation, establishment and development (maintenance) of breast feeding, and artificial feeding.
