Contract type : Full time, Permanent

As a Transport Manager you will produce, agree & manage the transport budget, accounting for any variances. Youll take a proactive approach in order to fully engage any new initiatives at the depot, ensuring the integration of projects is successful in line with business needs.
As part of your key responsibilities youll:
Proactively optimise transport operations for efficiency without impacting service
Integrate and manage new cross-dock clients and the vehicle fleet, including offsite parking
Effectively manage the Transport department through KPI measures
Ensure effective communication and coordination across all areas of transport operations
Lead, motivate, and develop the transport team, ensuring they are fully trained
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation, including Health & Safety and transport regulations
Manage 3rd party hauliers for national and international journeys
Develop and implement service standard agreements with customers
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects to successful delivery
Maintain the Company's Operator Licence and manage associated risks
Mentor and coach staff on the Unipart training and development programs
