Exciting Job Opportunity: Assisted Travel Host at Birmingham Airport Role Summary Join Birmingham Airport’s dynamic Assisted Travel team as an Assisted Travel Host, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for passengers requiring assistance. You will be the first point of contact at the Assisted Travel Help Desk, providing guidance, completing essential regulatory documentation, and hosting key areas within the terminal. Your role is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer journey while maintaining safety and operational efficiency. Core Duties Professionally host and manage the Assisted Travel Help Desk, assisting departing customers in need of support. Complete administrative tasks, including Electric Mobility Aid paperwork and maintaining incident reports. Provide tailored support to customers, ensuring their individual needs are met with patience and professionalism. Communicate effectively with Assisted Travel Coordinators, Duty Managers, and Third-Party Service Providers to maximise operational performance. Assist passengers through Check-in, security, and seating areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Issue hidden disability lanyards and promote inclusivity for all passengers. Experience Required Proficiency in MS Office applications and operational systems. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a customer-facing operational environment. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a professional approach. A compassionate and understanding attitude towards passengers with unique accessibility needs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and support.
