Job summary Due to retirement Saltscar Surgery has a great opportunity for a qualified Nurse Associate wishing to work in General Practice. The vacancy is part-time 24 hours per week over 3 days. Our team at Saltscar can provide a supportive learning environment where we value learning, teaching, and training. We have a list size more than 8500 patients, based in the town center of Redcar, serving the population of Redcar and the local surrounding area of Marske, New Marske and Dormanstown. We use TPP SystmOne clinical computer system, along with other IT functions such as ICE, Ardens and Accurix. Our team is lead by 3 General Practitioners and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Partners. Our team comprises of a variety of health care professional (Salaried GP's, ANP's, Practice Nurses, HCA, Midwife, physio, mental health workers and pharmacists) along with an experienced management and administrative team who are here to support and promote health care with empathy and compassion. We are a member of Redcar Coastal Primary Care Network working closely with our neighbouring practices to improve healthcare access across our area. The vacancy is for a Nurse Associate to work across all fields of nursing: - adult, children, mental health and learning disability. Main duties of the job The duties are to include undertaking clinical tasks such as venepuncture, ECG's, health promotion, hypertension and blood pressure monitoring, wound care, and dressing.Dealing with samples, adopt appropriate infection control procedures, assisting the doctor with minor surgery procedures, assist with vaccination and immunisation programmes, managing the safe storage and rotation of vaccines, drugs and injectables. An important part of the role is to ensure information is treated sensitively and adhere to the principal of confidentiality at all times. Clear and concise documentation is recorded using appropriate templates and protocols to ensure accuracy and legible record keeping.
