My client, a large Powered Access hire company who have been established over 25 years, is now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their ever-growing team.
The role of Accounts Assistant in brief:
We are looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. The role involves handling purchase ledger invoices, assisting with credit control, and resolving invoice queries.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
1. Purchase Ledger: Process and record purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve discrepancies.
2. Credit Control: Assist in managing overdue accounts, send reminders, and update customer records.
3. Invoice Queries: Address and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and customers.
4. General Support: Help with month-end close, reporting, and ad-hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate for Accounts Assistant:
1. Previous experience in accounts (purchase ledger/credit control).
2. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of accounting software.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. AAT level 2 qualification (preferable).
5. 2 years’ experience in accounting.
