Experience / Qualifications: - Applicants must have extensive experience working as a Health & Safety Manager ideally for a manufacturing / industrial firm - Will be qualified with NEBOSH General (or equivalent) as a minimum - Able to successfully manage teams of staff - Ideally you will hold other industry-relevant qualifications, memberships and training (i.e. Fire Risk Assessing or CMIOSH) - A well-rounded understanding of industry standards and processes - IT literate - Able to produce thorough written reports and assessments - Strong interpersonal skills - Professional manner The Role: - You will be overseeing the development and implementing of Health & Safety policies and procedures for the company - Conducing thorough risk assessments across company premises and writing accompanying reports - Maintaining industry compliance across company sites and within teams of operations staff - Attending site meetings with internal and external staff, to conduct safety toolbox talks and training - Review company Health & Safety proceedures in order to improve and make necessary adjustments - Investigating accidents thoroughly and developing approaches to avoid repeated incidents - Following up on reported non-conformities as highlighted by external and internal bodies - Working closely with external contractors to safely deliver projects - Keeping up-to-date with any changes to industry regulations - Carrying out regular auditing on sites - Preparing the company for accreditation audits and representing the company in the best manner whilst being undertaken Future Select are recruiting in the Health & Safety/Fire Safety and Compliance sectors; we work with the best clients & candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the market.
