The Core, Solihull’s flagship cultural venue is seeking a talented administrator, preferably with an interest in the arts, to carry out a pivotal and wide range of general administrative duties across a variety of events and cultural activity.
Offering you the opportunity to work in a busy fast-paced theatre and events environment, you will support the Box Office, accurately setting up and monitoring a variety of ticketed events on our specialist ticketing system and venue diary software, to undertake related administration such as web/online sales set up and show amendments and cancellations.
You will also:
* Undertake a wide variety of post-show settlement administration including hire contracts, deposits and data input.
* Deal with customer queries including regular monitoring and actioning of email inboxes relating to systems, tickets and events.
* Undertake basic financial duties such as banking, cash/credit handling plus ticket income reconciliation.
* Train and support new counter staff.
In order to deal efficiently with a wide variety of queries relating to show tickets, this may involve occasional evening and weekend working up to 8pm.
To be successful in this role, you will already have relevant knowledge and experience of using specialised system/software in a customer-facing environment, plus be able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills (e.g., 4 GCSE grades A-C (9-4) including English and Maths, or equivalent). You will be well-organised, able to prioritise your workload, and have good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with other Council teams and a diverse range of promoters, hirers, etc.
