You will be a member of the Spirent Positioning Technology (PT) Software Engineering team focusing on innovative design, development and support of software applications for both current and next generation PNT Simulation test solutions.
The role will report directly to the Software Team Manager and will have a close working relationship with peer level Project Management Office (PMO), Product Marketing, Engineering and Services team members.

Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline preferred.
Experience: Extensive demonstrable experience.
Knowledge:
Essential:
1. Good knowledge of C and modern C++.
2. Experience using high level/scripting languages e.g. Python, Perl, bash.
3. Experience developing multi-core/multi-threaded applications.
Desirable:
1. Digital Signal Processing experience.
2. Programming for real time operating systems.
3. Knowledge of GNSS signals.
Skills:
1. Hands-on experience in working within a structured engineering environment that includes Requirements Analysis/Definition, Design/Implementation, Defect Tracking, and Testing.
2. Can effectively apply Spirent's ISO accredited Product Realisation Process (PRP).
3. Knowledge or experience in Visual Studio product (Preferred).
4. Good knowledge of Object-Oriented software principles (Preferred).
5. Knowledge of configuration management tools and software version control (Preferred).
6. Knowledge of CI best practice (Preferred).
