We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller to join our busy Finance team. This is a very exciting time to join us as the business continues to demonstrate year-on-year growth and record financial performance.
The Role
* The main purpose of this role is day-to-day management of financial operations, including processing, financial analysis, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will report to, and work closely with, the Head of Finance and Reporting to drive financial performance and support the firm’s growth objectives.
* Leading, mentoring and actively supporting development of the legal cashiering and matter control teams to ensure high standards of accuracy, first class nominal hygiene and operational excellence.
* Monthly management accounting – Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow statements and supplementary reporting including variance analysis and covenant reporting.
About You
* You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with experience in legal accounting. However, we are also keen to hear from part qualified or AAT qualified candidates with a very strong legal accounts background and excellent system skills.
* Sound working knowledge of SRA/SAR and HMRC requirements is essential.
* You will have strong leadership and team management skills, in addition to this you will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with Aderant and will be proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Previous experience of working in a legal or professional services firm is desirable but not essential.
