Job Opportunity: Assistant Hatchery Manager We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to lead a dynamic team at our largest hatchery in Northern Ireland. As the Assistant Hatchery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and management of live product while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a busy team within our hatchery operations Ensure all processes meet high animal welfare standards Provide hands-on leadership and training to hatchery staff Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Essential: 3rd Level Qualification Hatchery experience Keen interest in agriculture Valid driving licence Ability to reason effectively Strong communication skills Ability to work on own initiative Computer literate Ability to work on-call as part of a rota Mechanical aptitude Desirable: Livestock handling experience Previous poultry experience Agriculture qualification People management experience Strong problem-solving skills Commercial awareness Working Hours: Week 1: Monday: 04:30 - 13:00 Tuesday: 04:30 - 12:00 Wednesday to Friday: 04:30 - 13:00 Saturday: 04:30 - 13:30 Week 2: Tuesday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:00 Week 3: Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 A 30-minute unpaid break is provided each day.
