Clinical Educator - Education Department Spotlight

This is a per diem – as needed position.
The Clinical Educator collaborates in meeting the education and professional development needs of clinical staff. In collaboration with Regional Education Department staff at Pen Bay Medical Center and LincolnHealth, the Clinical Educator will facilitate education/professional development programs such as new Nurse Residency program. Support CNA and/or MA courses as lab instructor and/or clinical supervisor. Some periodic travel is required; must be available on a limited basis to work early morning and evening hours as determined by course schedule.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ( KSAs ) :
* Education: BSN preferred.
* License/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. BLS and ACLS required.
* Experience: At least 4 years of recent acute care experience. At least 1 years’ experience in a teaching role.
* Flexibility to meet education needs on all shifts and in various nursing units.
* Superior leadership qualities and team building skills. Highly self-directed and productive.
* Excellent computer skills and a demonstrated affinity for working with information technology.
