Hosted Telecoms Engineer
Job Description:
Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established expanding Telecoms company. As a member of our clients engineering team, you will install and support a large client base of telephone systems - Hosted and Traditional. The role will predominantly be focused on 1st/2nd Line Support for Hosted PBX services - Gamma / 3CX / TelcoSwitch. Experience with LG ipecs and Horizon is required. The successful candidate will also be able to provision, install, and troubleshoot required telco services.
This is an interesting and varied role involving office & field-based support and maintenance, remote diagnostics, new system installation & commissioning, together with technical support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for 1st / 2nd line support, both office and field-based.
2. Responsible for provisioning relevant equipment and services for installations.
3. Responsible for installation projects in the field, including pre-installation customer meetings and ownership of the installation to project completion.
4. Complete remote or onsite service requests and fault diagnostics.
5. Process customer sign-off documentation.
6. Drive customer satisfaction by reviewing areas for improvement and working with the team to ensure effective processes and procedures.
7. Ensure personal accreditations are up to date and appropriate for work being performed.
Skills & Knowledge:
1. Hosted PBX installation and support.
2. Knowledge of Gamma Horizon and experience with LG ipecs.
3. Good understanding of TCP/IP networks including VLANs, ACL, Subnetting, STP, QoS.
4. Familiar with WAN/LAN and SIP technologies.
5. Familiar with different types of structured cabling infrastructures.
6. Experience in provisioning on WLR3.
7. Able to work as a member of a team.
8. Experience of working to and meeting tight deadlines.
9. Willingness to learn alternative manufacturer equipment and applications.
10. Willingness to work overtime when required, both out of hours and weekends.
11. Good customer service and communication skills.
12. Full and clean driving license.
13. Telephony installation and technical support experience.
14. Configuration, monitoring, and fault finding - routers, switches, ATAs, Handsets.
15. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, are a prerequisite.
