Job Title: Occupational Therapist Location: South Kensington, London Salary: £37,000 - £49,000 per year Contract: Permanent Full-time (Term Time Only) – 37 Weeks per Year Start Date: September 2025 About the Role: Minerva Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialist educational setting in South Kensington, starting in September 2025. This role involves providing tailored occupational therapy interventions, assessments, and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), including conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and autism. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement therapeutic programmes that enhance students' development and academic goals. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver personalised occupational therapy interventions and assessments to pupils with SEN/SpLD. • Develop, implement, and assess individualised therapeutic programmes in consultation with teachers and parents. • Provide progress reports for annual reviews, ensuring clear communication with staff and families. • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and reports. • Contribute to safeguarding practices and provide support during school activities. • Participate in school life, including staff meetings, events, and providing cover when needed. • Supervise students and therapy assistants as required. Essential Qualifications & Experience: • Qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) • HCPC registration • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an OT role, particularly working with children with SEN/SpLD • Experience in working with children with autism, dyslexia, and related conditions • IT literacy for clinical and administrative tasks • Knowledge of risk management, health & safety, and child protection protocols • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Desirable Skills: • Experience in a school or educational setting • Familiarity with behaviour support strategies and care planning • Ability to make clinical decisions for complex cases Benefits: • Workplace pension scheme • Daily lunch provided when on-site, with breakfast twice weekly • Paid appointments for doctor/dentist visits • A supportive, dynamic working environment Salary: Competitive salary within Hiring Bands 6 & 7, based on experience.
