Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintenance, and repair of all types of petrol and diesel engine vehicles, plant, and machinery, with a focus on HGVs.
* Conduct regular, cyclical safety and roadworthiness inspections, including MOT preparations.
* Diagnose vehicle defects using diagnostic equipment.
* Perform general repairs and major overhauls or replacements of engines and gearboxes.
* Attend vehicle breakdowns and conduct necessary roadside repairs.
* Carry out automotive electrical work.
* Perform gas and electrical welding.
* Undertake any other tasks related to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, plant, and machinery.
Skills Required:
* Strong understanding of the transport industry.
* Minimum of two years of experience working on HGVs and/or LGVs.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Capability to work under pressure.
* Willingness to work as part of a team.
* High attention to detail.
* Good organisational skills and time management.
