A&P Tyne – HSE Officer
In our Tyne facility we have the largest commercial dry-dock on the East coast of England as well as a fabrication facility complete with panel line, rolling, plasma and gas burning machines.
As part of our commitment to excellence and safety, we are looking for another HSE Officer to support and maintain our team's awareness of the potential for unplanned losses of people, time, reputation, and equipment.
A&P's number one priority is to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers, and sub-contractors. Our Work Safe, Home Safe (WSHS) initiative defines the core values which form the basis of the safety culture here.
Responsibilities:
1. Work across all safety principles and standards, training in areas of limited experience.
2. Ensure through our safety culture process program that all staff return home safe and healthy.
3. Monitor conformance with health, safety & environmental regulations as well as A&P procedures.
4. Report and record health, safety, environmental and quality performance, and assist in investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
5. Conduct risk assessments and safe systems of work, providing advice on health, safety, environmental and quality matters to line management and the wider team.
6. Review project requirements and maintain legislation in a professional manner with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified to NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
2. Experience of working within a HSEQ function with good knowledge of best practices.
3. Willingness to undergo a security check for BPSS clearance.
