We’re seeking a motivating store manager to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to maximize sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will be a community hub where people meet, understand our brand, and see our impactful work.
You’ll be surrounded by dedicated colleagues committed to beating cancer.
What will I be doing?
1. Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse shop team.
2. Owning and managing the store’s commercial operations, including display, merchandising, stock management, maintaining standards, layout, sales, and income.
3. Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
4. Maximizing profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
5. Building relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
6. Organizing and running creative fundraising events to meet targets.
7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
8. Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
