An electrical engineer is required for a hugely established OEM of industrial machinery and equipment.
This globally recognised leader of specialist capital equipment is seeking an electrically biased engineer to join their testing department. Working on safety-critical equipment, you’ll be using a combination of bespoke test rigs, machine build, and servicing techniques to ensure all products are fit for purpose before they leave the site.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer include:
* Full testing and inspection of machinery which includes Inverters ranging from 15KW to 15MW
* Using test rigs to interrogate and test control panels and PLCs
* Working on hydraulic fluid control systems, water cooling, ancillary panels, and associated panels
* Connecting machinery to power supplies safely under test conditions
* Calibration and programming of electronic boards and modules (training provided)
* Use of overhead cranes, working from heights using platforms
* Using a full range of electrical measuring equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and 3-phase power analysis equipment
There is a robust training package which is largely based around job shadowing other electrical engineers to get a comprehensive idea of the machinery, testing facility, and processes.
To be successful in this position, we’re looking for the following previous experience and skills:
* Previous experience as a maintenance engineer or electrical field engineer of capital equipment
* Hold a HNC or HND in electrical or electronic engineering
* Confidence working with LV & HV switchgear and inverters that generate MW power
* A strong knowledge of power supplies, controls, and electrical test equipment is essential
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and both analogue and digital electronic circuitry
