The Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team, providing essential support to students in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs. Experience in care or education is beneficial but not essential; a positive and empathetic attitude is what truly matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with personal care needs, including dressing, feeding, and hygiene.
* Assisting with classroom activities to foster engagement and learning.
* Building positive relationships to provide emotional and social support to students.
* Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
* Promoting independence by helping students develop life skills.
* Maintaining accurate records of care and progress and liaising with teaching staff and parents.
* Collaborating with the school team to deliver tailored, person-centred support for each student.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in care, education, or supporting individuals with additional needs (preferred but not essential).
* A caring and empathetic approach to working with young people.
* Confidence in managing behaviours that challenge or supporting individuals with complex needs.
* Comfortable providing personal care to children or young people.
* Flexibility to commit to shifts and adapt to the school's needs.
* A valid, clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
