Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the division of Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN) based within the Neuro-medical directorate and with a particular interest in Neuromuscular conditions. Ideally educated to Masters level, you will be expected to practice autonomously at an advanced level in the delivery of high quality, safe and supportive care to Neurology patients. You will provide clinical assessment and support for a diverse and undetermined caseload of patients whilst developing an advanced knowledge of medical neurosciences. MCCN is one of the busiest neuroscience units in the UK with outstanding clinical care given to patients across a range of conditions. It includes the specialities of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Stroke, Spinal surgery and Neuropsychology. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will have a role in the clinical assessment of patients, working autonomously to assess the clinical situation, assessing symptoms determining a working diagnosis and appropriate management plan. The successful applicant will be well supported by an experienced group of Neurology Specialist Nurses and Neurology Consultants and will be allocated a clinical supervisor. They will also work alongside medical colleagues and the wider multi-disciplinary team. Evidence based care will be integral to their clinical practice, ensuring that best practice is disseminated.
