The ClinicalLead for Dermatology reports to the Medical Director works alongside the Directorof Operations and Director of Nursing as advocate for the Group and SubjectMatter Expert in all matters relating to the provision of insourced Dermatology activity.
TheClinical Lead provides leadership to all Consultants within the speciality, andis responsible for exacting clinical standards and care provision.
Main duties of the job
Act as clinicallead and subject matter expert across Dermatology insourced services, includingadvice and input to operational planning of new contracts, to ensure that theyare assessed, staffed, implemented, and executed successfully.
Promote andadvocate for the company within clinical networks and wider, to maximiseopportunities for business development, and engagement with existing andpotential customers, partners, and clinicians.

Job responsibilities
Provide indirectclinical supervision and leadership to specialty Consultants, across all sitesand contracts, to ensure that high standards of care are delivered at alltimes.
Support recruitmentfunctions through networking and advocacy on behalf of the company, and beresponsible for interview and approval of all doctor grade clinicians acrossthe specialty.
Set and periodicallyreview clinical standards for the specialty, including minimum competencystandards, log book data requirements,and specialty specific updates and CPD requirements.
Support the Medical Director and Directorof Nursing in management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incidentinvestigation, disciplinary hearings and other Clinical Governance processes.
Support the Business Development functionby identifying and engaging opportunities within networks and wider, and bysupporting and advising contract discussions and meetings to develop andimplement effective clinical contract delivery structures.
Support ongoing excellence in caredelivering by leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance ofclinical standards and care delivery.
Attend conduct and performance reviewmeeting when required, and in response to incidents and complaints, providingadvice and guidance to the Governance function, as to the suitability orotherwise of ongoing engagement with Consultants.
Person Specification
Experience
* Dermatology or Plastics Consultant with at least 2 years experience post-CCT.
* Exceptional clinical standards, to act as lead clinical for the specialty with credibility among peers.
* Experience of complaint management and governance.
* Experience of networking and business development.
