About the Role
The role of a Direct Payment Officer for Children’s Services is an exciting new position within the busy and fast paced Social Care Payments Team.
You will be responsible for reviewing and authorising the children’s direct payments in line with the Councils payment schedule and working with the Children’s Social Care Teams to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner. You will also audit the direct payment bank accounts, investigate issues and update the records on our Social Care Finance system. We’re therefore looking for someone who is a strong team player with a collaborative work style, numerate, with the proven ability to understand, analyse and explain information as well as having the ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines. A strong degree of empathy and able to deal with distressing situations will also be useful in this rewarding role.
This a part time (18.5 hrs) permanent role which will involve a mixture of working from home and the Civic Centre in Keynsham.
