Sussex Teachers are working with a thriving, two-form entry community primary school in Peacehaven, East Sussex to find a temporary Nursery Practitioner / Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner / Reception Class Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting the development of our youngest learners in both nursery and reception classes. Your role will involve assisting with day-to-day classroom activities, supporting children’s individual learning needs, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the teacher with planning and delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
* Assist children with their learning, ensuring all are actively engaged and progressing.
* Foster a warm and inclusive atmosphere, supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
* Promote the school’s values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.
* Work closely with the SENCO to support children with specific learning needs.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting (Nursery or Reception experience preferred).
* A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
* A commitment to making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
