Job Description
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Employee Relations Management; acting as the first point of contact for line managers on complex employee relations matters such as grievances, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts.
2. Advising on appropriate actions and supporting managers in handling sensitive issues, including absence management, conflict resolution, and workplace accommodations.
3. Partnering with line managers to address day-to-day HR issues and provide coaching on effective people management.
4. Developing and delivering training on HR policies, best practices, and employee relations topics.
5. Keeping up-to-date with changes in employment law and HR best practices, ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Partnering with managers to address employee engagement and satisfaction issues, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
7. Tracking and reporting on key employee relations metrics, such as disciplinary actions, grievances, and turnover rates to identify trends and recommend proactive measures.
The Successful Applicant
The successful HR Business Partner should have proven experience (typically 3+ years) as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role with a strong focus on Employee Relations. You will have:
1. In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
3. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
4. Experience in delivering training and coaching to managers on HR-related matters.
5. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Experience with HRIS and people management software is highly desirable.
7. A solid understanding of employee engagement and retention strategies.
