We’re working with a large pan-European manufacturing business, which operates 7 days a week, that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams. Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically bias) 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift – 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Participation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5). Location: nr Melksham, Wiltshire Salary: Circa £40,000 plus on call allowance The position's responsibilities are: Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines Mechanical fault finding Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems Small installation projects Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores Support the Operations team in achieving targets Complying to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures Contributing to cost effective technical solutions Deliver to the operational expectations Be part of a weekend call-out rota To be successful, we would like you to have: A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) Have experience working as a Shift Electrician or as a dedicated Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical. Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLC’s, drives and inverters Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical Engineer. Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
