United Offshore Support GmbH is one of the main Global Players in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry running a fleet of world-wide operating Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels.
We are currently looking for a Senior Vessel Manager (f/m/d) to work in one of the following locations: Leer, Germany – Aberdeen, UK
Role Responsibilities:
* Leadership and daily management of the assigned vessel(s) ensuring that they are managed safely, to the highest standards and in compliance with all applicable Class, Flag State and International requirements. Ensure service delivery is achieved to our customers – internal and external.
* To take overall responsibility for the operational performance of the assigned vessel(s), ensuring that they are safe, seaworthy and operated in line with the highest standards.
* Active safety leadership within the business and promotion of the same across the fleet, ensuring that safety tools are correctly utilized and standards maintained across all vessels.
* Ensure all accidents and near misses are thoroughly investigated and any lessons learned implemented fleet wide. Provide technical input into any accident or incident investigations, ensuring that root
* Assist the Fleet Manager in identifying operational risk across assigned vessel(s) and ensure measures are taken to mitigate this.
* Ongoing monitoring of vessel performance trends including speed, fuel consumption, lube oil consumption and take an remedial actions when these are outside the agreed parameters.
* Undertake regular vessel visits to verify that the assets are being managed and maintained in line with the standards expected and in accordance with the management system.
* Completion of detailed technical inspections, assuring and verifying the condition of the vessels against the necessary standards and business expectations.
* Undertake the detailed compilation of the vessel running costs budgets and provide any recommendations for CAPEX expenditure for vessel improvements and upgrades.
* Ensure the vessels are operated in line with the agreed budgets. Any variations to budget to be agreed and reported on accordingly.
Qualifications:
* Marine Engineering Degree, Chief Engineer or Masters CoC
* Extensive management experience and a proven track record of delivering results in a similar role is essential.
* Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a multi-disciplined team.
* Experienced in, working in a fast-paced operations environment and delivering results
* Excellent financial acumen and ability to accurately budget and forecast.
* Previous seagoing experience on OSV’s is desirable.
* Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
* Experience working with different cultures and backgrounds.
* Analytical and highly proactive in technical troubleshooting and problem solving
* Able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
* Fluency in English is required and in German preferred.
