Description
1. Source and procure goods and services in line with organisation requirements.
2. Manage relationships with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions.
3. Develop procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
4. Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
5. Lead and represent the Supply Chain Department.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
7. Collaborate with internal departments to forecast future supply needs.
8. Handle issues relating to quality, cost, delivery, and inventory management.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
1. Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a similar role within the engineering sector.
2. Experience using an MRP system.
3. Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
4. Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
6. Experience of technical drawings.
7. Strong relationship management skills.
8. Excellent communication and team working skills.
