Teaching Personnel are looking for 2 SEN Teaching Assistants to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and moderate learning disabilities (MLD). Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with PMLD and MLD. Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning targets. Support students with communication, social, and emotional needs, using strategies such as Makaton, PECs, or other communication aids. Help with personal care needs and mobility assistance, ensuring the comfort and safety of students. Observe and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and other staff members. Work closely with the class teacher to plan and adapt lessons to meet the specific needs of students. Encourage positive behaviours and social interaction, promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Build strong relationships with students, offering consistent emotional support and guidance. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, particularly PMLD and MLD. A strong understanding of how to support students with complex learning needs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students in a classroom environment. A willingness to learn and develop new skills related to SEND and assistive communication methods.
