What Youll Be Doing: As a Deputy Manager, your role will be integral to the smooth operation of the care home.
Youll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring they provide the highest quality of care to all residents.
Your daily responsibilities will include: Leading a team to deliver exceptional care and create special, person-centred experiences for residents, promoting independence, privacy, and dignity.
Ensuring that all residents' care plans are followed and continually updated to meet their changing needs.
Taking on the role of Home Manager in their absence, overseeing the day-to-day management of the home, including staffing, medication management, and emergencies.
Assisting with the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
Maintaining strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
Managing the operational aspects of the home, including budget management, quality assurance, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and excellence in care, ensuring that each residents individual needs are met.
What Were Looking For: The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a passion for high-quality care and a desire to make a real difference.
You should have: A valid NMC registration and at least two years of experience in a senior nursing role.
Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire and guide a team to deliver excellent care.
A comprehensive understanding of care standards, regulatory requirements, and the needs of elderly residents.
A compassionate, patient-centred approach, ensuring dignity and respect in every aspect of care.
Experience in creating and evaluating care plans and managing medications.
The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
A genuine passion for promoting independence, rehabilitation, and quality of life for residents.
