Finance Manager at Ward Leisure (Cumbria) Ltd
We are looking for a Finance Manager to look after the bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts and payroll for 3 small family run businesses.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
1. Full bookkeeping including producing sales invoices, entering purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, loan reconciliations, fixed asset register management, stock management, credit control, VAT returns (including partial exemption), debtors and creditors ledger maintenance.
2. Preparing quarterly management accounts on time including prepayment and accrual adjustments.
3. Weekly payroll and pension submissions.
4. Negotiating utilities contracts when they are due and placing orders to suppliers when needed.
5. Dealing with customer enquiries.
6. Adhoc tasks where required.
The right candidate will be confident in using Sage line 50 and Xero as both softwares are used for the accounts.
The payroll is done on Sage online cloud payroll so experience with this would also be preferred.
You must have excellent organisation skills and be happy to work on your own from time to time.
We would look to hire someone who is qualified to AAT level 4 and has at least 3 years proven experience working in a similar role or with varied practice experience.
The position would be fantastic for someone who is currently working as part of a finance team already and is ready to take the lead, or someone who is looking for their first role out of practice.
The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and is office based. We can be flexible with start and finish times.
We look to offer a salary of £33,000 - £36,000 depending on experience, we offer a NEST pension scheme and a holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks.
