This will include assisting with the planning, development and implementation of communications and public affairs programmes aligned to business priorities. Main responsibilities:
* Align with the BU comms and public affairs teams to support activities which shape the external environment, enhance Sanofi’s reputation and position Sanofi as an industry leader.
* In partnership with our external Communications/Public Affairs agencies, help deliver a scheduled programme of activity.
* Work with internal corporate communications so colleagues feel engaged and informed.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the businesses needs and assist via proactive communications and public affairs activities.
* Develop and activate communication/corporate affairs campaigns with team members across all channels (traditional media, social media, website), including engagement with influencers, patient groups, members of parliament and Healthcare Professionals.
* Help to manage UK & Irish corporate websites and social media channels, including audience data analysis, social media performance and analytics, monitoring interactions and content creation.
* Help to monitor the external communications environment, particularly the digital and social media landscape.
* Assist Public Affairs colleagues in development of briefing documents and preparation for external meetings with stakeholders such as MPs.
* Help with administrative and organizational tasks, such as setting up meetings, taking meeting notes, booking logistics, etc.
About you
* Currently in university education in an undergraduate degree and will be at the time of starting the placement in Summer 2025 e.g. will not be completing degree and then starting the placement.
* An interest or understanding in any of the following would be relevant: Health Policy, Communications, Media Relations, Lobbying, Patient Advocacy, and Stakeholder Management.
* Interest in potentially working in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare and desire to further develop knowledge and skills relating to this role/sector.
* Experience of Office 365, together with PowerPoint and Excel skills.
* Fluent English, both written and spoken.
* Detail-oriented, organised and adaptable (able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines).
* Good communicator with excellent all-around writing and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with a positive attitude, always acting with a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
