Job Description Solution Architect – Engineering IT & PLM Fulltime Derby /Hybrid What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect – Engineering IT & PLM, to join the Engineering and Manufacturing IT Team, within the Group IT function of Rolls-Royce, ba sed in Derby. As a Solution Architect – Engineering IT & PLM, you will apply your broad experience in IT to adapt to a variety of problems ensuring all systems can be designed and integrated with the RR estate to provide a secure, cost effective and high-quality service to the engineering community. You will be providing consultancy to the Engineering & Manufacturing community on ways to leverage Rolls-Royce’s strategically aligned technology so they can deliver the next generation of engineering and manufacturing capability in an agile manner. This includes supporting the adoption of DevOps (including CI/CD), encouraging standardization, promote component reuse and help the business utilise Cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities You will : Interpret business requirements to enable and own the design of integrated solutions in accordance with the enterprise roadmap. Lead the design of architecture within the Solution Delivery Team for integrated solutions in line with appropriate standards. Provide leadership and direction on technical aspects of systems development and integration in line with technical strategies, standards etc. In Solution designs focus on User Experience and Automation. Share ownership for supporting and monitoring the Solutions. Create and manage relationships with Vendor SA's / EA's. Why Rolls-Royce? Good business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s). Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism Absorbs technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
