Cheltenham Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic Estates Surveyor Apprentice to join our Estates team and gain invaluable hands-on experience while working towards becoming a Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor with the University College of Estate Management.
Our passionate Estates team are responsible for the management of a wide variety of land and buildings owned by the council, including offices, industrial, retail spaces and residential properties. We work with a range of tenants from large supermarket chains to community organisations.
You’ll work alongside us to assist with the management of our let portfolio. Your responsibilities will include undertaking inspections, advertising vacant property, negotiating lease terms, undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals, and ensuring our properties are delivering good value for money. Our experienced team will support you to develop the technical knowledge you need through your day-to-day role, which will supplement your learning through the degree course.
We welcome applications from individuals with great communication skills and a genuine interest in property. Prior experience in the field is beneficial but not essential – what matters most is your willingness to learn.
