The Physiotherapy Team at North Tyneside General Hospital are seeking to appoint a clerical officer .
The successful candidate will be based within the Physiotherapy Department at North Tyneside General Hospital but may be expected to provide cover at other sites within the Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for general administrative tasks, which will include operating our telephone system dealing with telephone queries, as well as a looking after a busy reception area and booking patient appointments.
The administrative team also provide support to in-patient and out-patient physiotherapy teams.
The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent communications skills.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. • To provide administration and clerical support to the physiotherapy service, working under the supervision of a senior secretary &/or Clinical Physiotherapy Managers.
• To provide clerical support to the Clinical Physiotherapy Managers and clinical teams.
• Make contact with the Estates department to report any problems with premises, equipment etc. Ad hoc equipment ordering.
• Ensure that correct data is recorded on the Patient Administration System/Systmone at every point of contact with the patient.
• Make temporary ad-hoc changes to the physiotherapy clinics on the Patient Administration System Systmone.
• Works under supervision. Responsible for own time management, planning and organisation of daily duties as designated by senior secretary or clinical manager, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the reception office.
