The candidate will be a dynamic, experienced, and inspirational leader who will have the opportunity to build on the successes of our school and shape its future. Ideally, they will possess strong leadership qualities as well as a proven track record of delivering strong educational outcomes and school improvement. They should have a deep commitment to our school’s visions and values.
Our new Headteacher will:

* Demonstrate our school values of Respect, Resilience, Opportunity, Support, and Trust.
* Recognise and nurture what makes our school unique.
* Be financially astute with a good understanding of school budget setting and financial management.
* Have a proven track record of raising standards, inspiring and motivating others, ensuring staff are supported, valued, and encouraged.
* Be a leader who can maintain and further develop a cohesive school culture across two remote sites.
* Have a strong sense of community and community engagement.
* Be committed to high standards of teaching and professional development of staff.
* Build on our achievements, pushing the school to even greater success.
* Prioritise the wellbeing of our children and staff.
We offer our staff:
* Fantastic children with outstanding behaviour who strive to achieve their best.
* An opportunity to be part of a nurturing and creative environment dedicated to keeping the children at the heart of everything.
* A school recently judged to be good by Ofsted.
* A warm, positive working environment with an enthusiastic, dynamic, and supportive staff where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed.
* Committed governors, an enthusiastic and active PTA, and engaged parents and carers.
* A stimulating and exciting curriculum well supported with trips and events.
* Excellent facilities to support teaching including all-weather play areas, sporting facilities, swimming pool, wildlife areas, and a community orchard.
* Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of everyone within our school community.
Ashdown Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
