As Shipping and Customer Coordinator, based at our SIFCO Bromsgrove site, you will be mainly responsible for coordinating and supporting the timely, efficient and effective completion and delivery of customer orders. A key role in our company goal to continue to exceed customer expectations.
Tasks
* Provide and support excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
* Ensure a high level of satisfaction through the timely, efficient and effective completion/delivery of customer orders. Report delays as soon as possible.
* Process all stock item sales orders, raising all relevant paperwork, despatch notes, sales invoices, etc on our system.
* Send official quotations for all solution/consumable/equipment items, in a timely manner. Follow up all outstanding quotations each month.
* Produce shipping documents, dangerous goods notes and arrange relevant transport for all product sales orders.
* When necessary, establish and maintain liaison with relevant staff or customer representatives to help resolve any technical/schedule enquiries that arise prior, during and after dispatching orders.
* Support Quality Systems Coordinator to ensure the company complies with all REACH regulations associated with the business.
* Arrange import clearance for items being shipped from Sifco USA and for components being shipped from UAE/Canada/etc (IPR Simplified procedure).
* Generate credit notes when required.
* Scan all sales orders and supporting documentation onto the Y server.
* Complete C99 bill of discharge form for HM Revenue & Customs.
* Produce intrastat declaration each month.
* Produce EC sales list each month.
* Support despatch/packing staff with any/all relevant shipping information requirements, eg. labelling/compatibility/bottle sizes/etc.
* Recommend measures to improve efficiency, methods, performance, quality.
* Shared responsibility with colleagues on answering incoming calls.
* Complete all reports as requested at any time by your Line Manager.
* Any other reasonable duties.
Requirements
* The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role within a chemical and/or hazardous material shipping environment.
* Knowledge of shipping legislation and regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
Languages: English at a professional level is a must.
Location: Commuting distance to our Bromsgrove, UK site.
