Humanities Teacher – Manchester Secondary School Location: Manchester Start Date: April 2025 Salary: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience) A large and successful secondary school in Manchester is seeking a Humanities Teacher to join their department from April 2025. This role is open to specialists in History, Geography, or Religious Education, with a preference for teachers who can offer more than one subject. The school has a strong academic record and prides itself on delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons. As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering curiosity and analytical thinking in students, helping them to develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in History, Geography, or Religious Education. Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities, ensuring all students make progress. Use innovative teaching methods to inspire curiosity and critical thinking. Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and extracurricular activities. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related subject. Experience teaching Humanities at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is advantageous). A passion for engaging students and delivering dynamic lessons. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
