We have an exciting permanent social work opportunity with a local authority in North Yorkshire. It's a very exciting time to join the local authority as they continue to lead the way and invest in the transformation of children services through their "Believe in Families" programme.
They're looking for passionate and motivated individuals to help them achieve their ambition and in return are offering a fantastic benefits package to Social Workers interested in positions within Children's Assessment.
Benefits:
1. Salary: £35,000 - £45,416
2. Relocation package: Up to £8,000
3. Pension contribution: 11.5%, worth over £5,000 annually
4. Sickness pay: Up to 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay

Responsibilities:
10. Support children, young people, and families through referrals
11. Part of the team duty rota
12. Conduct S47 visits and progress children's planning to Initial Child Protection and Public Law Outline
13. Handle some initial court work, with cases transferring to the SCP team after assessment
14. Work directly with children, young people and their families
15. Collaborate with external agencies and attend multi disciplinary meetings
To be considered for a role within the Assessment Team, ideally you will have:
16. BSc in Social Work or equivalent
17. Social Work England registration
18. At least 1 year of experience in children's social work
