About the role...
Avove has been appointed as the delivery partner for Yorkshire Water's AMP8 Developer Services Framework for the next four years, with a potential four-year extension. This framework involves provisions such as mains and services, meter installations, sewerage diversions, and new supply connections for domestic and commercial customers' developments. The contract covers operational activities for both commercial and domestic developer services, with an emphasis on improving customer service, valued at approximately £95 million over eight years. These roles are new opportunities to join a growing business.
As a Utilities Operative, you will carry out instructions from the Site Manager/Team Leader to deliver civils work to the required quality, timelines, and safety standards.
The role will be based in Brighouse or Malton. A full Driving License is required.
What will your day look like...
* Carrying out tasks assigned by the Site Manager/Team Leader efficiently, cost-effectively, and professionally, producing high-quality work.
* Attending training courses for professional development.
* Using materials economically, returning unused materials to stores, and safely removing scrap materials from site.
* Undertaking possession and site management duties as instructed.
* Performing all duties reliably and flexibly, assisting the team as needed.
* Maintaining professional relationships with customers.
