Job summary The Pharmacy Clinical Trials teamat North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trustis expanding and we are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Pharmacy Support Workerto join our friendly team on a one-year fixed-term basis. This role will primarily be based at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital but may also require travel to other Trust sites as needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in clinical trials within a hospital pharmacy setting, contributing to the safe and effective management of investigational medicines. Essential Criteria Level 2 Pharmacy qualification approved by the GPhCor an equivalent qualification that includes dispensing modules. Candidates with overseas qualifications must obtain an equivalency assessment from UK ENICto confirm their qualification meets the required standard. Strong organisational, communication and computer skills, with the ability to work methodically and maintain excellent attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate the Trust values and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or clinical trialssetting (preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided). Knowledge of clinical trials, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and pharmacy regulations. Main duties of the job Support the Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Trials teamin providing a comprehensive and specialist pharmacy servicefor clinical trials. Assist with the ordering, receipt, storage, supply and monitoringof medications used in clinical trials, ensuring full compliance with current medicines legislation and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Maintain accurate trial recordsand assist in the preparation of documentation for regulatory and audit purposes. Provide patient counselling and medication informationas appropriate for clinical trial participants. Ensure all investigational medicines are handled, stored, and dispensed in accordance with protocol requirements and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy and research teams to support the efficient and effective delivery of clinical trials.
