Pear Tree Community Junior School is seeking to appoint 2 x Level 1 Teaching Assistants to support the class teacher with teaching and learning in the classroom. You will also contribute to pupil management by encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom.
The school serves a diverse community with pupils from a wide range of countries and cultures. 80% of our pupils speak English as an Additional Language. We warmly welcome applications from motivated, nurturing individuals to join our dedicated and highly effective team from April 22nd, 2025. The role will include supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including one-to-one support for a named child with Special Educational Needs, behaviour issues, or a medical condition.
You will:
1. Have the patience to provide 1 to 1 support to children with complex needs.
2. Be creative in your approach to learning and delivering the curriculum.
