Overview of the role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to champion girls sport at Bredon School. At Bredon we pride ourselves on a truly individualised approach and success criteria will be different for each pupil in our care. The successful candidate will be equally adept at inspiring a love of participation and challenging the most capable to excel in their chosen sports.
Our provision includes two Games afternoons per week for all pupils as well as one lesson Core Physical Education per week (KS3) and one Outdoor Education lesson (KS3) and a full fixture list throughout the school. This is enhanced by an elective academic offer at KS4 and in the 6th Form, a strong Duke of Edinburgh programme and timetabled co-curricular activities sessions.
In the Michaelmas term our girls focus on Hockey in games before moving onto Netball in the Lent term. In Trinity term we currently cover Athletics, Tennis and Cricket. The successful candidate will have an ability to lead and drive our netball, hockey and cricket programme throughout the school as well as an ability to coach another sport to a high level would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong and lasting commitment to providing pupils with the highest standards of extra curricular provision and they will be expected to make a significant positive contribution to the wider life of the school.
