Interim Management Accountant - 12 Month FTC
A great new opportunity has become available for an Interim Management Accountant on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a chance to be part of a dedicated and friendly team in a down to earth environment. The role is to cover maternity, and they would ideally like a start date in early July.
Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis to management per the month end timetable.
2. Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Maintain the balance sheets through monthly reconciliation.
4. Prepare and submit VAT returns.
5. Prepare monthly management accounts and schedules.
6. Conduct variance analysis of the management accounts.
7. Maintain the Grandchildren's trust ledgers.
8. Perform daily bank reconciliations.
9. Analyze and post company credit card transactions.
10. Upload and issue sales invoices daily.
11. Handle intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
12. Work as part of a team and cover areas within the department as required.
Competencies:
1. Financial analysis: Strong understanding of financial analysis techniques to interpret financial data.
2. Financial reporting: Ability to prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and cash flow statements in line with compliance and accounting standards.
3. Taxation: Good understanding of VAT regulations and laws, and ability to prepare VAT returns.
4. Accounting software: Comfortable using accounting software and other financial tools to manage financial information.
5. Communication skills: Strong communication skills to effectively communicate and explain financial information to the finance team.
6. Time management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently to produce timely financial information.
