We are looking for an exceptional individual to take on the role of Strategic Lead for Disability and Mental Health Services, overseeing the development and delivery of critical services that make a real difference in people's lives.

The successful candidate will:
* Lead the strategic and operational development of Disability and Mental Health services, ensuring the highest standards of provision.
* Foster a high-performance culture within the service, ensuring efficiencies and continuous improvement, while managing significant budgets and demonstrating value for money.
* Provide leadership to the workforce, ensuring resources are effectively deployed, trained, and supported to deliver health and social care priorities.
* Plan, monitor, evaluate, and develop service provision in line with corporate and departmental priorities, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and best practices.
* Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners, facilitating positive engagement with stakeholders for service improvements.
* Support and deputise for senior management in their statutory roles, including participating in corporate resilience, emergency planning, and business continuity arrangements.
* Be an integral member of the Adult Leadership Team.

Our working arrangements
All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
