Job title: Registered Veterinary Nurse Location: Village Vets Milton, Cambridgeshire Job type: P ermanent Salary: From £ 28,350 per annum Hours: Part time, average 27.42 hours per week over 3 days with 1 in 6 weekends Fantastic opportunity for an RVN to join an established Tier 3 Cambridgeshire hospital in a part-time position The Role: Our RCVS accredited Milton Hospital has a real emphasis in ECC and medicine, and by hosting our own Vet24 OOH service, we see an exciting and varied case load, benefiting from a continuity of day and night clinical care. Many local practices feed into our Milton clinic, resulting in a true critical care case load. No day is ever the same. We are well equipped with everything you would expect, including endoscopes, full in-house laboratory assessments including blood gas analysis and coagulation times, d igital X-rays including dental X-rays, u ltrasound with linear and phased array probes, v ideo gastroscope, bronchoscope and laparoscope, fully equipped theatre for ECC surgery and dental suite. There is a separate cat and dog ward, and we are proud to have silver cat friendly status. We also have on-site parking available for the team. As an RVN on our day team, you will get to experience all areas of nursing, including nurse clinics which area really encouraged. We have a brilliant team of ex perience Vets, nurses, and support staff, several of whom have their own interests and certificates. With our twilight and night team also on site, this is a day only role. We have a strong ethos at Village Vets Cambridge, and you will be welcomed into and honest and open team who really work well to support and encourage each other. We love to support individual interests and can offer great in-house training opportunities, making the perfect environment to grow your skill. Hours are part time, and we can be flexible, ideally 3 days per week with a share of the 1 in 6 weekend rota. EIN rota paid extra. A Village Vet nursing role includes a wide breadth of nursing duties, incorporating the management of complex medical and surgical patients, provision of perioperative care, assisting with the provision of anaesthesia and schedule III procedures, as well as supporting the patient journey from admission to discharge. We also support our clients with regular (and busy) nurse clinics. Our vets are amazing, many of them are certificate holders and some are advanced practitioners too.
