We are currently advertising for a full-time Housing Officer on our Chrysalis service.Please note this role occasionally includes on-call duties in addition to the core hours.
Humbercare’s Chrysalis Housing provides accommodation and a low level of support.
Main Responsibilities:
* To provide advice and support to all customers housed within Chrysalis’s Housing Property Portfolio.
* To engage with customers on a weekly basis to support individuals to secure, maintain, and achieve independent living, and to design services that work for them, utilising resources within the local area to make a real, quality difference to people's lives.
* To ensure Chrysalis Housing properties are well presented and maintained by both our customers and Humbercare (in conjunction with the maintenance department).
Requirements:
* A sound understanding of the social housing environment including emerging government policy, welfare benefits, and housing entitlements.
* Experience of working in a social housing or similar environment along with knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
* Current full driving licence and access to transport is desired but not essential.
