As, Early Careers & Apprenticeship Advisor you will:

Early Careers Programme Management – Lead the management and delivery of apprenticeship, graduate, EMS, IMR, and nurse placement programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
*
Strategic Talent Pipeline Development – Work with leaders to identify opportunities where early careers initiatives can support functional plans and create new career pathways.
*
Policy & Process Improvement – Develop, review, and enhance early careers policies and procedures to drive inclusion and align with PDSA’s culture.
*
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management – Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including universities, veterinary schools, training providers, and RCVS, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational needs.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring – Utilise talent dashboards and DAS accounts to assess programme effectiveness, track KPIs, and support workforce planning.
*
Industry Trend Analysis – Stay informed on external policy developments, issues, and trends in early careers to ensure PDSA remains competitive and effective in attracting young talent.
We’re seeking someone with:

Early Careers & Apprenticeship Expertise – Experience in managing early careers programmes, including apprenticeships and funded frameworks.
*
Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building – Proven ability to manage relationships with internal leaders and external education providers to develop successful early careers initiatives.
*
Process & Policy Development – Experience in creating and refining early careers policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business and inclusion objectives.
*
Data Analysis & Performance Tracking – Ability to use reporting tools, such as talent dashboards, to assess progress and inform workforce planning.
*
Strategic Thinking & Succession Planning – Strong ability to identify new opportunities for early career programmes that support long-term workforce development.

Apprenticeship Levy & Budgeting (Desirable) – Knowledge of managing Apprenticeship Levy funds and understanding of funding frameworks for workforce development.
