Job Description Materials NDE Engineer – Manufacturing Derby/ Hybrid (average 3 days a week in the office) Full time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer - Manufacturing to join our team in Derby. In this role you will use your knowledge and expertise in development and application of NDE Techniques across the whole product lifecycle. Responsibilities You’ll analyse factual information from multiple sources and identify effective solutions applying your technical knowledge, expertise, and engineering judgement. You will: Technical support and consultancy provided to product development for Future Programmes. Responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving our internal and external supply chain for NDE processes. Auditing and risk assessing our external supply chain to our NDT procedures and processes. Represent the company with suppliers and customers. Actively promote, encourage and support identification and implementation of continuous improvement. Part of global NDE organisation, internally and externally, to drive changes and advancement. Mentoring of NDE apprentices, from first year to completion of scheme. Why Rolls-Royce? Degree level qualification or above in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. NDE, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics), or equivalent technical capability based on experience. Solve problems through evaluative judgements. Analyse factual information from multiple sources, interprets results and identify effective solutions by applying their own technical knowledge, expertise, and engineering judgement. A team contributor but also capable of working independently. It’s desirable if the candidate(s) hold Professional qualifications (e.g. Level 3) in relevant NDE methods, Or working experience in manufacturing production environment, Or Chartered status or other similar accreditation.
