Pay Rate: £215 - £230 Day Rate
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Senior Transactional Buyer on behalf of a global company in the renewable energy industry. This role offers Monday - Friday hybrid working with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote working. This is a 12-month contract that has the potential to extend.
The successful Senior Transactional Buyer will join the team based at the Warwick Office. The Senior Transactional Buyer will manage their own portfolio of suppliers, overseeing a variety of procurement activities, including managing the work queue, processing POs in a timely manner, negotiating new costs, and supplier evaluation among other day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a work queue and ensure that POs are issued in due time.
2. Ensure close cooperation with internal customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
3. Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, and resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment.
4. Contribute to the implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
5. Support supplier management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
6. Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
7. Maintain records of all documentation and adherence to online purchasing and contract management systems.
8. Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
9. Analyze risk.
10. Negotiate new costing.
11. Work cross-functionally with Quality and Engineering departments.
12. Understand different parts and comprehend drawings.
13. Understand legalizations and restrictions.
Key Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
1. Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment).
2. Outstanding Excel skills.
3. 3+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
4. Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals, and objectives.
5. Ability to work in a complex, fast-changing global organizational environment.
6. Bachelor's degree.
7. English - Advanced/Fluent level.
